I have some items of poetry news to share.
Firstly, I am very pleased to have been shortlisted for the Allingham Poetry Prize. The final results will be announced next month, so we shall see what happens.
Two of my recent poetry acceptances have some special sentimental value.
My family originally came from County Roscommon here in Ireland, and a poem of mine will be published next month in the “Autumn Leaves” insert to the Roscommon Herald newspaper. Submissions were open only to poets with some Roscommon connection, so I am very pleased to be published in the old homeland.
Later this year, a poem of mine will be published in Antipodes, an American magazine dedicated to writers from New Zealand and Australia (where I was born). I love these international connections!
Bravo Stuart! x
